My name is Odewale Samuel, I'm so happy to have been part of this program, the French First program. Before I started this program, I actually had challenges in understanding French. I did it last in Junior Secondary school 3 (JSS3). Since then, I forgot about it. However, during my first year in the University, it was made compulsory for medical students to offer French as a general studies course, and we had to pass it. So I told my parents about it and that was how I got connected to this program. The French learning program actually made me become better at French because I started understanding French while my lecturer was teaching us, to the extent that I could also explain it to my friends that didn't understand it. Enrolling in the French learning program gave me a great advantage over my peers. Also, the French program actually helped a lot in my passing the course in school outstandingly as I got a distinction (A) in the course. Apart from passing the course, the program helped me understand French, that is, being able to understand and speak French for future purposes. The program is worth doing, so I would recommend it to anyone with the zeal to learn French, not just to pass it as a course but to learn to speak and understand it for future purposes. Thank you.
